Breed description: Equally proficient on land and in the water, the Chesapeake Bay Retriever was developed along the Chesapeake Bay to hunt waterfowl under the most adverse weather and water conditions, often having to break ice during the course of many strenuous multiple retrieves. Frequently the Chesapeake must face wind, tide and long cold swims in its work. The breed's characteristics are specifically suited to enable the Chesapeake to function with ease, efficiency and endurance. In head, the Chesapeake's skull is broad and round with a medium stop.

Chesachobee Chessies is located in Millersville, Maryland. The registered kennel name was established in 1954 when my Aunt starting breeding Chesapeakes and was handed over to us so we could continue the tradition. As my Aunt did in the past, we strive to breed healthy, well tempered puppies that are typical of what Chesapeakes should be. I have owned Chesapeakes my entire life and we do not take breeding Chessies lightly. A lot of time, thought, research and care goes into planning every litter in order to breed the best pups possible. We usually breed only 1 or 2 litters a year and all our pups are raised in our home. All of our Chesapeakes live in our home with us and are part of our family. Please check out our website and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.
